The Bordeaux appellation
The Bordeaux appellation is very vast, it extends over more than 44,000 ha and has 505 municipalities. It produces mainly red wines but also dry, sweet and syrupy white wines, rosé wines and clairets. The great diversity of terroirs and soils give Bordeaux wines a variety of characters depending on their production area. The emblematic grape varieties of the AOC are Merlot and Cabernet (Sauvignon and Franc), Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and Muscadelle. The keeping of the wines is 2 to 4 years.
the Entre-Deux-Mers appellation
Entre-Deux-Mers covers a vast geographical area delimited to the north by the Dordogne and to the south by the Garonne. It brings together 10 appellations including that of the same name, the AOP Entre-deux-mers, which produces exclusively dry white wines made from Sauvignon Blanc.
The 1,500 ha of vines ensure a production of 90,000 hl/year. Wines to drink from the vintage.
