The Lussac Saint-Emilion appellation, a branch of the AOC Saint-Emilion, is located to the north of the medieval town of Saint-Emilion, in the commune of Lussac. The vineyard covers 1436 hectares and produces an average of 75,000 hectolitres of red wine. The clay-limestone soils are planted with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. The wines can be kept from 3 to 10 years.
